While TruMerit maintains a permanent record of all applicants’ names and service histories, it is not a permanent repository of applicant documents. TruMerit’s document retention policy is as follows:
- All documents submitted, including transcripts, become the property of TruMerit and cannot be returned to you. Do not send original diplomas, degrees, certificates, registration or licenses.
- Documents submitted by an applicant to obtain a TruMerit service will be deleted four years from the date of the applicant’s last submitted order.
- Documents submitted by an applicant in support of obtaining the TruMerit VisaScreen®: Visa Credentials Assessment Service will be deleted five years from the date of the applicant’s last submitted order.
